Who can claim?
The redemption is only open to eligible claimants. An “eligible claimant” is a person who:
a) is either a New Zealand citizen or a resident;
b) has a My AEG account and receives an AEG email offer detailing this promotion to the email address connected to their My AEG account;
c) spends $250 (incl GST) on products from the Qualifying Product Category at Bunnings Warehouse (New Zealand) during the Promotion Period in one transaction;
d) registers their product(s) with their My AEG account before the expiry of the Promotion Period; and
e) registers for this e-gift card for himself or herself exclusively and not on behalf of any other person or group of persons; and
f) does not in any way tamper with the e-gift card and/or the registration process for the e-gift card.
Promotion Period
Commencing at 7am NZDT on 6/12/2024 and closing at 11.59pm NZDT on 15/12/2024.
For clarity, an eligible claimant has until 15 December 2024 to make a purchase and register the purchased product(s) to be eligible for the e-gift card.
Redemption offer
Spend $250 or more (GST inclusive after any applicable discounts) on AEG products from the Qualifying Product Category in one transaction at Bunnings Warehouse (New Zealand), and register product(s) online with My AEG during the Promotion Period to redeem a $50 TTI smart e-gift card.
Qualifying Product Categories
All AEG Power Tools and AEG Outdoor Power and Garden Equipment that are registerable on My AEG
Excluded Product Categories
All hand tools (non alkaline battery operated), storage (Soft and Hard), accessories, attachments, consumables and casings including but not limited to chucks, grinding/cutting discs, seals, saw blades, outdoor power equipment accessories including decks and guards, power tool casings and guards, plugs, blades, chains, knobs, bags, brushes, fitters, Allen keys, bits, screws items relating to the product, collets, FIXTEC systems, chainsaw chains, bars, trimming heads, mower and hedge trimmer blades and other similar parts and items that are not registerable on My AEG
Proof of purchase
A valid proof of purchase requires a store receipt from Bunnings Warehouse (New Zealand) of the purchase of products from the Qualifying Product Categories made during the Promotion Period.
How to claim
To redeem the e-gift card, during the Promotion Period, an eligible claimant must:
a) spend a $250 or more, GST inclusive (after any applicable discounts) on AEG products from the Qualifying Product Category in one transaction and retain your proof of purchase receipt;
b) go to https://www.aegpowertools.co.nz/my-aeg and log in to your My AEG account that is connected to the email addressed that received the email offer detailing this promotion;
c) complete a product registration form for your new AEG product(s);
a) upload your receipt as proof of purchase;
b) submit the product registration form before the expiry of the Promotion Period.
Once your product is registered to your My AEG account, the AEG Team will confirm your eligibility to qualify for this redemption within 7 working days of registration. Upon verification and if you qualify for the redemption under these Terms and Conditions, your e-gift card will be sent to you by email.
There is no fee charged to register for this redemption, other than purchasing your product(s) from a Qualifying Product Category and the cost of you accessing the Internet.
Entries permitted
Multiple redemptions permitted, subject to the following:
a) only one (1) redemption permitted per transaction, regardless of the number of products purchased from a Qualifying Product Category in excess of $250 in that transaction;
b) each redemption must be submitted separately and in accordance with claim instructions; and
c) a maximum number of three (3) e-card gifts may be claimed per My AEG account holder available from three (3) separate redemption claims. For clarity, there will be one (1) e-gift card per redemption claim and a total of three (3) separate redemption claims can be made, providing all conditions of entry detailed in these Terms and Conditions are met.
Delivery
E-gift card will be sent to eligible claimants by email to the email address which is linked to the My AEG account that the product was registered under. The e-gift card link will be embedded in the email.
E-gift card
The e-gift card is a $50 TTI smart e-gift card supplied by Prezzee. The TTI smart e-gift card may be swapped to an e-gift card you choose from any of the following retailers: JB Hi-Fi, Macpac, Redballoon, Woolworths, Supercheap Auto or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
The e-gift card must be activated within 30 days of the e-gift card issue date. The gift card issue date is the date on which the email containing the e-gift card link is delivered. For example, if the e-gift card email is sent on 1 November 2024, the e-gift card must be activated on or before 30 November 2024. You must activate the e-gift card offer for the e-gift card to be valid and ready for use.
E-gift card is subject to any other terms of use issued by Prezzee (New Zealand) and your selected brand. E-gift card cannot be substituted for cash.
Extended warranty
If the AEG product purchased is registered online at the My AEG portal within the first 30 days of purchase, the product may also qualify for an extended warranty at no additional cost. For warranty details please visit: https://www.aegpowertools.co.nz/warranty.
The no cost extended warranty is only available to the original purchaser/eligible claimant who purchased the AEG product under the e-gift card offer and registered online at My AEG portal within the first 30 days of purchase. The extended warranty will only apply for successful online registration completed within 30 days of purchase. If an eligible claimant sells or gives away the AEG product purchased to another person, the no cost extended warranty will no longer apply.
General
1. These terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined above. Information about the redemption and how to claim forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this redemption is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Redemption claims are only available when you register your product(s) online through your My AEG account, in the correct form provided for in the information on how to claim and will not be accepted by the Promoter in any other form.
3. A valid redemption claim requires product registration with personal contact information, including your full name, delivery street address (in New Zealand, excluding P.O. Box), contact number, email address, the AEG product(s) purchased, New Zealand authorised retailer store it was purchased from, serial/model number(s) for the product(s) or for all products in a product kit, and a copy of the proof of purchase (store product receipt). Any registration form/application that fails to provide true and correct information (including but not limited to product serial/model numbers) will be deemed invalid and excluded from the redemption.
4. This redemption does not apply to any products purchased from product categories other than those listed as Qualifying Product Categories. Only products purchased from Qualifying Product Categories will contribute to the $250 minimum spend to qualify for this redemption. Products must be purchased from Bunnings Warehouse stores in New Zealand. Products purchased from any other sellers (including parallel imports), or outside New Zealand are not eligible to participate in this redemption.
5. No responsibility will be accepted for late or misdirected claims. A copy of the original receipt as proof of purchase is required. The Promoter may require claimants to provide further information regarding the circumstances of the product purchases to the Promoter or its agent as part of the verification process. Failure to provide this information to the Promoter’s satisfaction may result in an invalid claim at the Promoter’s discretion.
6. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and eligible claimants (including an eligible claimant’s identity and place of residence) and to disqualify any eligible claimant who submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the claim process. Suitable forms of verification are at the discretion of the Promoter. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.
7. Any misrepresentation or fraudulent information supplied by a claimant disqualifies their claim(s). The e-gift card cannot be returned and is not, transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If you return a product purchased your claim for the e-gift card may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion (unless the product is defective). In the event that any offer is unavailable, due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter will offer an alternative bonus offer, being of equal or higher value.
8. The Promoter is not responsible for any circumstances where: (a) either the e-gift card platform vendor Prezzee or any of the e-gift card retailers are unable to process or honour any of the e-gift card(s) issued, including but not limited to the insolvency of the e-gift card platform vendor Prezzee or any of the e-gift card retailers; (b) a retailer makes the decision to withdraw their e-gift card(s); or (c) a retailer makes the decision whereby any e-gift card(s) are discontinued, unavailable or expire.
9. If this offer is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the offer, as appropriate.
10. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who it has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
11. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a claimant receiving a product are the sole responsibility of the eligible claimant or participant.
12. If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.
13. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and related entities of the Promoter. Some of these third parties are located outside Australia and New Zealand, by entering into this Promotion an entrant is consenting to the disclosure of an entrant’s PI to entities outside of Australia and New Zealand. For further information, please see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be viewed at https://www.aegpowertools.co.nz/privacy-policy. Entry into the promotion may be conditional on providing certain PI. The Promoter will also use and handle all PI as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. In addition to any use that may be outlined in these Terms and Conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research, survey and profiling purposes, including sending emails/electronic messages, SMS or telephoning the entrant. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out of any communication, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a privacy breach or concern and how those complaints will be dealt with.
14. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to actual product pricing. AEG product pricing varies and may increase and is adjusted every year, the Promoter does not guarantee any product pricing and the product RRP is subject to change due to factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
15. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute.
16. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram or YouTube. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to any social media platform. Any questions, comments or complaints about this promotion must be directed to the Promoter and not to any relevant social media platform.
17. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
18. The laws of New Zealand apply to this redemption and these Terms and Conditions. Claimants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
